Executive Sous Chef
Diego Alcantar a Central Falls resident, born in Tuxpan Michoacan Mexico has spent his entire life immersing himself in the art of food. Growing up in a household that expressed passion for cooking meals from their native country he spent many days in the kitchen under the tutelage of his mother Maria, also a professional chef. Diego quickly mastered basic culinary skills and family recipes. Upon graduation from high school in 2015 he decided to spread his wings and began to infuse his heritage into his own style of American cooking.
Diego has spent the last 5 years working his way up from line cook to sous chef to executive sous chef at Avenue N Restaurant Group. His desire to learn every day and his clear and direct leadership style has made him one of our most valued team members. Experienced well beyond his years, Diego exemplifies everything Avenue N stands for; artistry, community and hospitality.
Diego is the cornerstone of our culinary team and his smiling face can be seen at both locations in Rumford and Providence. When his is not bopping back and forth between restaurants Diego an avid soccer fan can be found listening to his wide range of eclectic Latin music, playing his guitar or kicking the ball around himself.
